Also note that you can change the compare at price for an individual product variant. For example, let’s say nobody was buying the XXL version of your t-shirt, and you wanted to move the stock. You can lower the price of the slow moving variant, while keeping the other variants at the original price.
How to Bulk Edit Compare At Price on Shopify?
Okay, now you know how to change the ‘compare at’ price for one product. But if you’re running a sale, chances are you’ll want to discount lots of products. So let’s explore how to discount products in bulk.
- To edit ‘compare at’ prices in bulk, go to your store’s dashboard.
- Click products. Then click the checkbox to the left of the products you want to edit.
- Click ‘Edit Products’ at the top of the page.
- Click the first ‘compare at price field’. Then drag the box all the way down (just like in Excel) until all the products you want to edit are selected.
- Type the new ‘compare at’ price into the first box (the other boxes will auto-populate)
- Hit save.
Once again, navigate to your store from the customer facing side and double check that all of your ‘compare at’ prices are displaying correctly.
How to Remove Compare at Price Shopify?

My Shopify Compare At Price Is Not Showing?
Sometimes the Shopify comparison at pricing doesn’t display correctly on your store. This can stress you out, especially if there is a big sale looming and you can’t discount your products.
If this happens, don’t panic. There’s several ways to troubleshoot the problem.
You haven’t entered a ‘compare at’ price that’s higher than the sale price.
This is by far the most common reason for why ‘compare at’ prices don’t display. You must enter a comparison at a price that’s higher than the sale price. Simply lowering your product price on its own won’t trigger a ‘compare at’ price on your store.
Some themes need an extra step.
For some themes (Supply, the last time I checked), you’ll need to open the theme editor and then open the collections page. Check the box that says ‘display compare at price’, hit save you should be good to go.
There might be an issue with your theme.
If you’ve set up your pricing according to the steps above and your price comparison still isn’t showing, you might have a problem with your theme. This is more likely if you’re using a customized theme from a third-party provider. If you’ve tried everything else, contact your theme provider and ask them if they can rectify the issue.
